The contest is now closed. This week we will publish an overview of the entries on the website so you can check your competition or decide which repair you find most remarkable. Sunday 30 August, during the last day of Platform21 = Repairing, we will announce who made the most beautiful repair according to our jury.

The jury consists of amateur repairwoman and hotel owner Suzanne Oxenaar (Lloyd Hotel), tool tester and editor-in-chief Erwin van der Zande (Bright), and curator and inventor Arne Hendriks (Platform21).

Ever made a repair you were really proud of? One that made a broken item more valuable, more beautiful, better? Or have you got a beloved broken item you’ve been planning to mend for ages? Now is the time – enter Bright magazine and Platform21’s Most Remarkable Repair Contest, held as part of the Platform21 = Repairing project.

We’re looking for imaginative, ingenious, exceptional and funny repairs made to all kinds of damaged objects. Whether your sofa got ripped, your toaster blew up or your mobile phone crashed, if you’ve fixed it with love and care, we’d like to know.

Want to take part? Mail a few pictures of the item with details of the repair and relevant before-and-after details to . Tell us what the item was, how you fixed it, and what’s special about the way you did it. Be sure to include your name and telephone number.
The entry deadline is Sunday 14 August.

Just as in our previous contest, for Hacking IKEA, the best entries will appear in Bright and in Platform21’s exhibition. And, of course, the winner will take home the Most Remarkable Repair Award.

News!
DREMEL has joined our Repair contest and is giving away one of these multifunctional tools to the maker of the best repair! As the winner you will only need one tool in the future for all kinds of repairs and DIY becomes child’s play. Even more reason to start working on that original repair!
