Slow Repair Dialogues

slowLab has developed a series of Slow Dialogues to supplement the programme of Platform21 = Repairing. These are small-scale public conversations about how Slow Design can help re-imagine consumption behaviors, human relationships and ways of collaborating, all with a view to systems-level ‘reparations’ for transitioning to a more sustainable future.

Slow Repair ideas, questions, quotations and comments resulting from the Slow Dialogues will be captured in an evolving installation in the exhibition space.

There will be four evening events over the next four months, each one with featured presenters and other invited participants. Attendance is limited to 20 persons per edition. If you would like to participate, please email .
The schedule and topics are:

Friday 24 April: SLOW REPAIR > slowLab’s philosophy meets Platform21 = Repairing

Friday 29 May: SLOW CONSUMPTION > Re-imagining Material Interactions

Friday 19 June: SLOW TRANSITIONS > Rethinking Systems

Friday 21 August: SLOW COMMUNITIES > Renewing Social Relationships

slowLab is a laboratory for 'slow design' thinking and creative activism, exploring slower rhythms of engagement with people, places and the things around us to realize new scenarios for community, sustainability and renewal.
